It is quite scary if have to prepare a poster for a conference. The main idea is to transfer the information about your research af efficiently as possible. I found a great video by Mike Morrison ↗ talking about the poster session difficulties. I think this is mainly applicable to big conferences.

Well, I used this format on a quite small and crowded poster session (15 posters in total) and it didn’t go particularly well. The paper format was A2 and the sidebars are quite small, but I have my suspicion which is not connected to the format. Simply put, there were too many people to too small of an area.
